For Halloween 2025 I wanted to create a cozy, interactive multi-media experience that captured the essence of an autumn evening. Additionally, I wanted to evoke the simple pleasure that came from early iphone games and playing with a sandbox of simple tools.
I was heavily inspired by Louie Zong’s annual musical vignettes with a duet of ghosts singing in a different genre each year (embedded below). I wanted to recreate that vibe in an interactive format.
I created it in only Free & Open Source (FOSS) software & tools with Godot as the core engine/framework, while I created the art assets in Krita & the music/sounds created in beepbox.
